Optical node plays a key role in CATV systems. An optical node provides CATV signals for 500 to 2000 subscribers to teleview. In most of cases, however, the node is powered by only one power supply unit. In case of power supply failure, signal transmission and the service will be interrupted. To solve the problem, Fangyuan power switch provides the simplest but effective and the most cost-effective solution.SPS-2FS1 Smart Power Switch, as a new member of Fangyuan power switch family, presents the latest technology in remote monitoring and control of non-standby power supply in CATV systems. It enables ordinary power supplies to be interactive: one unit stands by when another feeds power to the loads as per instruction from SPS-2FS1. Meanwhile, SPS-2FS1 detects working status of both units. In case of operating unit failure, standby unit transfer into operation mode and continue feeding the loads as per instructions of SPS-2FS1.
