Overview |

Optical node plays a key role in cable TV systems. An optical node provides CATV signals for 500 to 2000 subscribers to teleview. In most of cases, however, the node is powered by only one power supply unit. In the event that the power supply fails to perform normally, the node will stop working and then the subscribers may complain of operators' services. Now we can avoid this in a very simple way. |

SPS-2116 is designed to solve the problem mentioned above. SPS-2116, along with two power supplies that have their respective loads, can form a small group. SPS-2116 automatically monitors operating status of these two power supplies. In case one power supply fails perform normally, SPS-2116 automatically gets power from another unit and feed the power to loads of the failed one. Signal transmission is ensured. |
